Net income rose to $1.78 billion, or $2.22 per diluted share, from $1.71 billion, or $2.05 per share, a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">The company projected adjusted earnings of $2.11 per share on $6.7 billion in revenue for the current quarter, below analysts&#8217; expectations of $2.39 per share and $7.34 billion.
