\n\tA trailer has been released for \u201cDeath Boom<\/a>,\u201d the forthcoming documentary exploring the multi-billion dollar death care industry. The film will make its world premiere at this year\u2019s Tribeca Festival on June 9 in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom director Jessica Chandler, \u201cDeath Boom\u201d will investigate the most pressing questions surrounding end-of-life choices and the impending death boom (hence the title), during which over a million Baby Boomers are expected to die over the next 15 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOur funeral systems aren\u2019t ready for the \u2018Death Boom,\u2019\u201d reads the film\u2019s official logline. \u201cAs morgues overflow and wallets empty, a broken, billion-dollar industry is exposed. But better options exist. This shocking, eye-opening and surprisingly uplifting documentary dives deep into the business of death, revealing who\u2019s keeping it alive and why. With unprecedented access and bold voices leading a new movement, \u2018Death Boom\u2019 reclaims the end of life with humanity, sustainability and just the right dose of dark humor.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIce Cream Man\u201d and \u201cThanksgiving\u201d director Eli Roth<\/a> serves as the film\u2019s narrator, and will also appear in the documentary.\u00a0 \u201cDeath Boom\u201d is produced by a star filmmaking team, including Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a>, Jennifer Davisson, Phillip Watson, Sean McKittrick, Raymond Mansfield. Previously, DiCaprio has produced films including \u201cA Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough,\u201d \u201cThe Lake,\u201d \u201cSleepwalker,\u201d \u201cYanuni,\u201d \u201cSnow Leopard Sisters,\u201d \u201cCheckpoint Zoo,\u201d \u201cPath of the Panther\u201d and many others.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is Chandler\u2019s\u00a0 second documentary following her debut feature \u201cA Fine State This Is.\u201d Released in 2003, the documentary followed artist Fargo Deborah Whitman and her experience with dissociative personality disorder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tChandler and Roth both also serve as producers, with Edward H. Hamm Jr. executive producing. \u201cDeath Boom\u201d is a QC Entertainment, The Horror Section and Appian Way production. <\/p>\n
