{"id":715640,"date":"2026-06-04T22:45:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T22:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/715640\/"},"modified":"2026-06-04T22:45:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T22:45:11","slug":"nba-investigating-fans-over-vulgar-jalen-brunson-taunts-during-game-1-vs-spurs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/715640\/","title":{"rendered":"NBA investigating fans over vulgar Jalen Brunson taunts during Game 1 vs. Spurs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NBA is reportedly looking into two courtside fans who allegedly directed vulgar profane \u201cflopping\u201d remarks towards Knicks star Jalen Brunson late in Game 1 of Finals.<\/p>\n<p>The NBA is reportedly looking into an incident involving two courtside fans during Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the <a href=\"https:\/\/basketnews.com\/teams\/410-new-york-knicks.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York Knicks<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/basketnews.com\/teams\/534-san-antonio-spurs.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Antonio Spurs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ChrisBHaynes\/status\/2062536130625413527\" rel=\"nofollow\">NBA insider Chris Haynes<\/a>, the league is reviewing claims that the fans directed vulgar and profane &#8220;flopping&#8221; remarks toward Knicks star <a href=\"https:\/\/basketnews.com\/players\/22988-jalen-brunson.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jalen Brunson<\/a> late in the game.<\/p>\n<p>Brunson met with official Scott Foster after the game to address the fans&#8217; behavior to which the remarks continued.<\/p>\n<p>  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/a\/status\/2062377848724238717\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">  <\/p>\n<p>The Knicks went on to win Game 1 <a href=\"https:\/\/basketnews.com\/games\/view\/125365-san-antonio-spurs-new-york-knicks.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">105-95<\/a>, taking an early lead in the series as the league now reviews the courtside incident.<\/p>\n<p>Brunson once again played the biggest role in the win.
