Costeen Hatzi had to endure the pain of a breakup being played out in public, but she found her own strength and has now spoken out about her high profile split from Aussie tennis star Nick Kyrgios<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hatzi is an Australian influencer and interior design graduate known for her strong social media presence, with over 174K followers on Instagram<\/a> alone.<\/p>\n

However it was her high-profile relationship with tennis star Nick Kyrgios<\/a> that really put her in the spotlight for most Australians.<\/p>\n

Hatzi and Kyrgios began dating in late 2021, with the tennis star confirming their relationship on Instagram in December that year<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She quickly became a constant figure courtside, supporting him through the 2022 Australian Open<\/a> where his fiery on-court antics drew headlines.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Their relationship was often in the spotlight, with Kyrgios publicly praising Hatzi while also facing criticism for his behaviour during matches.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now she has spoken about the public breakup, the pain, and the healing she has needed to do since they parted ways.<\/p>\n

And Hatzi has also revealed the lengths she went to in order to keep Kyrgios happy, and the regrets she has from their time together.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I was fully supportive,’ she told News Corp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘I went to all the tournaments. I was doing everything behind the scenes \u2013 his washing, his cooking \u2026 everything.<\/p>\n

‘I was happy to, because I loved him and we had a great relationship at the time. So I don’t regret anything that I’ve done.’<\/p>\n

Hatzi said she had used the last year to work on her own career out of Kyrgios’ shadow, which she admitted was tough at times.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hatzi says the past year has been a time of rediscovery, reflection, and personal growth<\/p>\n

‘It’s different now. I have all this time for myself. I’m in a really reflective but motivated place. It has definitely been a bit of an adjustment, but I mentally prepared myself for that; it wasn’t a shock,’ she said.<\/p>\n

‘This year has been like a transition period. Of course there are days where, you know, I’m not a hundred per cent happy, but I feel like I’ve been headstrong, and I have a positive outlook on life.<\/p>\n

‘Going through a break-up isn’t going to tear me down or upset me too much. I just need to look forward and throw myself into work, throw myself into fitness \u2013 and that’s what I’ve been doing, really.<\/p>\n

‘I have a lot of time on my hands now so I’m trying to grow and expand my business,’ she says. ‘I’ve been leaning deeper into my career with fashion and beauty and content creation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘It’s a big focus for me \u2013 building a brand that’s accessible and empowering, and style forward for women.<\/p>\n

‘That chapter of my life was meaningful and I’m grateful for the memories and the growth that came with it. You know, life changes.<\/p>\n

‘And so do people. I’m really just embracing this next chapter of rediscovery and independence and building something that’s truly mine.’<\/p>\n

And Hatzi credited her family and friends for giving her the strength to carry on after the breakdown of the long-term relationship in the public eye.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘They’ve given me great advice to just focus on myself and be the classier person when it comes to the break-up,’ she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I’ve really taken that on board, because I don’t want to ruin his name. Sometimes my emotions get the better of me, but then I remember that it’s not in my nature to say anything bad about him.<\/p>\n

‘We still had a beautiful relationship, even though things didn’t turn out the way [I’d hoped]. I’ve found peace within myself, and I hope he’s happy.
