An Aussie radio host has come up with a genius idea to solve the biggest mystery in TV: Who is hosting the Logies?<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been a lot of speculation about who will front the August 16 event, after Sam Pang ruled himself out of hosting for the fourth year in a row. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had three great years, and it was wonderful, but I\u2019m just not going to do it this year,\u201d he told the SMH<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

When asked who he thinks should take over as host, Pang suggested Anne Edmonds and Kitty Flanagan, or The Cheap Seats\u2019 Tim McDonald and Melanie Bracewell.<\/p>\n

Insiders have told news.com.au that Channel 7, which has the broadcast rights, would most likely prefer to have one of its network identities host the event.<\/p>\n

That could mean that Dr Chris Brown, Sonia Kruger or even Celebrity Intervention hosts Mick Molloy and Glenn Robbins could be in the running.<\/p>\n

But on Friday morning, Triple M Gold Coast breakfast personality Liam Flanagan suggested that Logies organisers should keep the host\u2019s identity a secret until the cameras start rolling, and he has the perfect way to reveal it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere\u2019s how you launch it. It\u2019s a prerecorded video \u2026 and standing there in a row, you\u2019ve got all your potential hosting candidates,\u201d Flanagan said. \u201cSo you\u2019ve got Mick Molloy, you\u2019ve got Shaun Micallef, you\u2019ve got Karl Stefanovic \u2026 all standing there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Triple M host said the Osher Gunsberg and Sam Pang should then emerge for a piss-take version of The Bachelor.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou film a Bachelor rose ceremony, and it\u2019s Sam Pang holding the rose,\u201d he said. \u201cSo Osher does one of his amazing, serious pieces to camera \u2026 then you get Sam to have a bit of fun with all the possible candidates in Sam Pang style.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flanagan suggested Pang could brutally eliminate the Aussie celebs one by one until only a few potential hosts are left standing. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou cut to black, and then a voiceover says, \u2018ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, your host of the 2026 TV Week Logie Awards,\u2019 and whoever they\u2019ve chosen comes out on stage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

We love the idea, and reached out Osher Gunsberg to find out if he\u2019d be happy to participate in the sketch.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll only do it if in the opening of the gag, where I\u2019m standing next to Sam Pang holding his rose, he looks to me and says, \u2018Hang on … you don\u2019t even host this anymore!\u2019 to which I sheepishly reply, \u2018sorry, it was worth a shot,\u2019 and then walk off while Sam Armytage takes her rightful place and commences the whispering,\u201d Gunsberg joked to news.com.au.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat, and if you can get Warner Bros. IP lawyers over the line,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
