{"id":723226,"date":"2026-06-08T14:47:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T14:47:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/723226\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T14:47:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T14:47:11","slug":"dean-harrisons-senior-tt-prize-money-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/723226\/","title":{"rendered":"Dean Harrison\u2019s Senior TT prize money revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Dean Harrison has taken home close to \u00a330k for winning the Senior race at the 2026 Isle of Man TT.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/rr\/news\/1097228\/1\/2026-isle-man-tt-final-race-day-abandoned-harrison-declared-senior-winner\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Senior TT was declared a result after just one full lap<\/a>, with Harrison earning \u00a328,500 which is the biggest individual prize pot for any race at the TT.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Senior TT failed to run its full race distance after being stopped on Friday due to a crash for Finnish racer Erno Kostamo, which brought out red flags.<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/photo-05-06-2026-16-29-19-jpg.jpg\"   type=\"image\/jpeg\" alt=\"2026 Isle of Man TT\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.5\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>2026 Isle of Man TT<\/p>\n<p> \u00a9\u00a0Isle of Man TT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">With limited daylight remaining, TT organisers decided to move the Senior race back to Saturday, which was the original day it was scheduled to take place.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">But as was the case throughout the 2026 event, poor weather meant that no racing could go ahead as all three races were cancelled on the day.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Due to a mixture of low clouds and heavy rain for much of race week, a total of three races never got started including both Superstock races and the Sportbike Race 2.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Senior race is considered the highlight of the Isle of Man TT, and as a result the top 20 riders are handed out prize money.<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/art-body-hickman-superbike-jpg.jpg\"   type=\"image\/jpeg\" alt=\"Peter Hickman, Isle of Man TT 2026, Superbike\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.78\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Peter Hickman, Isle of Man TT 2026, Superbike<\/p>\n<p> \u00a9\u00a0Isle of Man TT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Second place was awarded \u00a314,250 which was won by Peter Hickman, while third place went the way of Josh Brookes, with the Australian winning \u00a39,410.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">At the lower end of the top 20 the differences in prize money are much smaller with 19th place receiving \u00a3680, while 20th gets \u00a3630.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The second highest prize pot for a win is handed out in the Superbike TT, which was also won by Harrison.
