CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. \u00a0– Boston College women’s basketball incoming freshman Eunicia Salgado will compete with the U18 Canadian National Team in the upcoming FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup 2026.<\/p>\n
The team trained at Humber College in Toronto from May 30 to June 5 before travelling to Irapuato, Mexico for the AmeriCup tournament.<\/p>\n
The seven-day event will take place at the Inforum Irapuato, featuring Argentina, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, the United States, Venezuela, and host nation Mexico.<\/p>\n
Fourth berths are at stake for the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2027.<\/p>\n
Salgado, a 6-1 forward from Boucherville, Quebec, was ranked the seventh-best recruit from Canada.<\/p>\n
She helped her team capture the Grind Session Women’s World Title with Canada in 2024-25, becoming the first Canadian team to bring home a world title. She also claimed a WNPA national title and was an RSEQ First-Team All-Star and the 2024 RSEQ Most Valuable Player.<\/p>\n
