Ariana Grande<\/a> and Ethan Slater<\/a> have reportedly called it quits after nearly three years together. <\/p>\n

The Wicked<\/a> co-stars quietly split several months ago, according to multiple US outlets. It\u2019s reported the decision came after careful consideration, but the stars appear to be amicable as they go their separate ways.<\/p>\n

Grande, 32, has been focusing on releasing new music and kicking off her Eternal Sunshine tour. Outlets report the Thank U Next singer\u2019s new album or career move has not been inspired by the breakup or her relationship with Slater, 34.<\/p>\n

According to multiple sources, the actors are still friends and supportive of one another.<\/p>\n

The singer and Broadway star met after they were cast in the hit musical to movie adaptation Wicked<\/a>. Grande played Glinda and Slater starred opposite her as Boq, who was romantically interested in Grande\u2019s character. <\/p>\n

The pair were first pictured together in a March 2023 post by their co-star Michelle Yeoh. The timeline around Grande and Slater\u2019s then-rumoured romance<\/a>, however, sparked controversy as it appeared to coincide with their respective splits.<\/p>\n

Rumours began swirling they were dating around late July 2023, not long after Grande had split from her then husband Dalton Gomez.<\/p>\n

Grande then reportedly filed for divorce on September 18, 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Slater was married to Lilly Jay from 2018<\/a>, and they share a son, three, together. He filed for divorce on July 26, 2023,\u00a0Us Weekly\u00a0reported at the time.<\/p>\n

Adding fuel to the fire, Slater\u2019s estranged wife then told\u00a0PageSix<\/a>\u00a0in July at the time her divorce made headlines that Grande was \u201cnot a girl\u2019s girl\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy family is just collateral damage,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In March 2024, Grande dropped her seventh album\u00a0Eternal Sunshine.\u00a0Fans quickly began to speculate songs like\u00a0Imperfect for You\u00a0and\u00a0Yes, And?\u00a0were about her relationship with Slater.<\/p>\n

A few months later, Grande spoke out about the backlash she had received over her romance with Slater in a cover interview with\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/a>\u00a0published September 30.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most disappointing part was to see so many people believe the worst version of it,\u201d she said of how her relationship was perceived wrong. \u201cThat was definitely a tough ride.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fast-forward to November 2024 and Grande soft-launched their relationship on Instagram after the\u00a0Wicked\u00a0premiere in Sydney, which the pair both attended.<\/p>\n

In her post compiled of photos from the premiere, the singer posted a pic of Slater carrying the train of her incredible pink Vivienne Westwood ballgown down a flight of stairs.<\/p>\n

Some\u00a0fans captured<\/a>\u00a0the heartwarming moment they held hands while walking to their seats inside the State Theatre at the Aussie premiere.<\/p>\n
