Two fallen allies may rejoin Thor for his final stand in Avengers: Doomsday. New reports point to a Valhalla army arriving at the God of Thunder’s darkest hour. The rumor comes as speculation mounts over how Marvel will handle the climactic fight with Doctor Doom.

With Robert Downey Jr. returning to the franchise in a villainous role, the stakes have felt higher. For Thor, who lost nearly everyone he loved across his solo and ensemble outings, the battle appears deeply personal. A recent wave of online leaks now fills in what that might look like on screen.

Jane and Heimdall could join Thor in Avengers: Doomsday’s Doctor Doom battle

Known scooper My Time to Shine Hello posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Natalie Portman and Idris Elba have a cameo in Avengers Doomsday as they help Thor fight Doom’s army at the final battle.” The claim arrives on the heels of an earlier plot leak describing a teaser sequence in which Chris Hemsworth’s Thor prays to Odin, pleading for strength to overcome one last enemy and return to his daughter, Love.

According to the same source, the Allfather answers from beyond. “The army Thor gets from Odin comes to him from Valhalla, so get ready to see old characters back,” MTTSH stated in February. That framing could provide a natural gateway for Jane Foster and Heimdall to reappear. Jane, who died in Thor: Love and Thunder after wielding Mjolnir as the Mighty Thor, was last seen arriving at the gates of Valhalla in a post-credits scene. Idris Elba’s Heimdall, slain by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, long served as Asgard’s stoic guardian. Both exits were treated with finality, yet it seems Valhalla’s lore makes a one-battle resurrection plausible within established MCU rules.

Natalie Portman has left the door open publicly. Speaking to Total Film about a potential return in 2024, the Oscar winner said, “I mean, no one’s asked me to. So I don’t know. But sure, that was super-fun (via Games Radar).” In contrast, Idris Elba’s position has appeared more complicated.

During a joint appearance on The Graham Norton Show with Wunmi Mosaku and Martin Freeman, the trio laughed off their inclusion in the star-studded Avengers: Doomsday cast. Elba stated his character’s definitive death in Infinity War.

Notably, Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed these details.

Originally reported by Devanshi Basu on SuperHeroHype.

The post 2 Long-Absent MCU Heroes Join Thor’s Last Stand Against Doctor Doom – Report appeared first on Mandatory.
