Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\nGuidera is survived by wife Valarie, who told the outlet her late husband was hospitalised last month after his heart stopped.<\/p>\n
To honour his previous wishes, Guidera was taken off of life support after three weeks and brought home, where he passed away over the weekend.<\/p>\n
Valarie, who welcomed one son with Guidera during their time together, noted that doctors do not know what caused her partner\u2019s sudden demise.<\/p>\n
She shared a statement on Guidera\u2019s passing via Facebook on Saturday, writing that she was \u201cheartbroken to say goodbye\u201d.<\/p>\n
Her post read: \u201cIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Anthony\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are devastated and trying to breathe through the impossible, taking each moment as it comes. Please hold this eternal light in your hearts and our family in your prayers\u201d.<\/p>\n
Valarie often posted about Guidera and their son, Nick on the social media platform.<\/p>\n
Last Father\u2019s Day, she gushed that Guidera was \u201cbeyond a father, [but] a true influencer of dreams and an elevated foundation for love and the higher path\u201d.<\/p>\n
Guidera\u2019s first acting role was in the third instalment of The Godfather in 1990 as a bodyguard named Anthony.<\/p>\n
He went on to have roles in The Rock, Armageddon and more movies over the years.<\/p>\n
His onscreen kiss with Species co-star Natasha Henstridge earned him an MTV Movie Award in 1996.<\/p>\n
Guidera was last onscreen in 1999 as a gun seller in romance film The Annihilation of Fish.<\/p>\n
