Image: Mark Horsburgh \/ Supplied<\/p>\n<p>Talbot re-joins Wall Racing, the same squad with which he captured the 2019 Carrera Cup Pro-Am crown, plus the 2022 Enduro Cup honours.<\/p>\n<p>Since his last Carrera Cup stint in 2022, Talbot has gone on to become a GT ace, claiming the 2023 and \u201824 GTWCA championships and an outright podium at the Bathurst 12 Hour.<\/p>\n<p>After a difficult 2025 season in Aston Martin machinery with Volante Rosso Motorsport, Talbot did not return to GT racing this year.<\/p>\n<p>Looking to add to a tally of 16 race wins, Talbot is set to contest the remainder of the season alongside reigning Sprint Challenge champion Jake Santalucia and fellow Pro-Am Richard MacDonald.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great to be coming back to Wall Racing and to Porsche Carrera Cup,\u201d Talbot said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have many fond memories from my time in the category and winning a championship with the team in 2019, which is one of my career highlights.<\/p>\n<p>Buy tickets to the 2026 betr Darwin Triple Crown. <a href=\"https:\/\/ticketekau.pxf.io\/5kYxK3\" style=\"color:#de482e;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Click here <\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know the team and the car well and even though we have missed one round I am confident we will be able to contend for victories from Darwin onwards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are hoping to pick up where we left off and really enjoy the next six events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Team owner David Wall heralded the return of a \u201cclose friend\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to have Liam come back to Wall Racing where we have had great success especially in 2019 and 2022 in the Pro-Am class,\u201d Wall said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiam is a great addition to our team and is also a close friend, so we are looking forward to getting underway ASAP in preparation for the next round in Darwin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlso, a special thanks to Drew Hall, who also made this possible with Liam taking over his car for the rest of 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talbot\u2019s return coincides with an updated \u2018Enduro\u2019 format for Darwin, which includes a pair of 45-minute races, more closely aligned to other Carrera Cup championships globally.<\/p>\n<p>The Pro-Am category continues to add depth, with Talbot joining fellow class champions Rodney Jane and Stephen Grove, alongside podium finishers Matt Belford and Dean Cook.<\/p>\n<p>Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia returns for Round 2 at the Darwin Triple Crown on June 19-21.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/287093\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/287093.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Liam Talbot has secured a return to the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia field.
