Exclusive: After 31 years of marriage, Todd Woodbridge<\/a> admits he has a \u201crare\u201d kind of love with wife Natasha<\/a>. But there\u2019s one thing people fail to understand. <\/p>\n

\u201cTash is an incredibly strong-willed competitive woman,\u201d the tennis champion turned Tipping Point<\/a> host tells nine.com.au. \u201cAnd at some point people go, \u2018Oh [Tash], what do you do for a job?\u2019 and I butt in because it\u2019s a rude question, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n

Todd Woodbridge and wife Natasha have been married for 31 years this April.\u00a0Instagram\/@woodbridge.todd<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s rude because Tash played the role of partner, wife, psychologist, running our travel, running our house, putting the kids through school, while I was focused on one thing<\/a>, and that was a job on its own.\u201d <\/p>\n

Todd and Natasha began dating<\/a> when they were 18 and 16 respectively. He met his future wife through her famous tennis player sister Nicole Provis. By 19, Natasha had hit the road to travel with Todd and support his tennis career<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For the next 17 years, they would be on the road for 38 weeks a year. <\/p>\n

\u201cBy her own choice, she gave up her own challenges to do the ones for us,\u201d Todd went on.<\/p>\n

They married at 21 and 24, the same year they moved out of Australia<\/a> to pursue Todd\u2019s career in tennis. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt that age, a lot of people go on gap years and stuff, but this was it. This was the commitment and I think that\u2019s pretty rare,\u201d he said of their marriage<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very easy to move in and out of relationships<\/a>. None of it could\u2019ve been easy dealing with me through the ups and downs of tennis, the mood swings and losses and ranking changes,\u201d he continued. <\/p>\n

Tash has been by Todd’s side through it all. \u00a0Instagram @woodbridge.todd<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t travelling the world. It was managing all of those pieces of our puzzle and I\u2019m really proud of her,\u201d Todd said.<\/p>\n

One of those pieces is being proud parents to Zara, 25, and Beau, 23, who they both share. <\/p>\n

The tennis great never encouraged his kids to follow in his footsteps, but each have pursued their own passions, which has made Todd equally proud.<\/p>\n

His son Beau is a rising theatre star who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Master of Arts degree.<\/p>\n

Daughter Zara is a talented golfer who\u2019s been a part of the Golf Victoria state team. She\u2019s also studying nutrition and has aspirations of being a registered dietician.<\/p>\n

With their kids out of home, Todd revealed his trips around the world with wife Natasha look a little different now. For one, they\u2019ve found a new hobby together.<\/p>\n

Todd and Tash have followed in the footsteps of their daughter and have taken up golf.\u00a0Instagram\/@woodbridge.todd<\/p>\n

\u201cWe like golf, that\u2019s something we do now,\u201d Todd shared. \u201cWe plan our trips away around golf, places where we can go see the world but play golf, you know?<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked her, \u2018Would you like to do a trip to the Maldives?\u2019. She goes, \u2018Oh it\u2019d be lovely, but there\u2019s no golf course there\u2019,\u201d he laughed. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s a sporting woman at heart.\u201d <\/p>\n

Todd and Tash did in fact make it to the Maldives. \u00a0Instagram\/@woodbridge.todd<\/p>\n

As for their 31 years of marriage, Todd said he doesn\u2019t know where all those years went, but he could say this: \u201cThat\u2019s a long time, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n
