Hearn had previously told the outlet that US sites were in play partly due to more stable weather conditions than Britain in the autumn months. But on Wednesday he clarified that moving the fight across the Atlantic would require amending the existing terms.<\/p>\n<p>What the contract says about Joshua-Fury location<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There has been some murmuring of the fight taking place in the US,&#8221; Hearn said, per BoxingScene. &#8220;The contract specifically states that the fight must take place in the UK. Right now there is no official confirmation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The disclosure adds another layer to an already tangled promotion. Zuffa Boxing chief Dana White claimed at a Bournemouth press conference last weekend that neither Hearn nor Frank Warren \u2014 Fury&#8217;s promoter \u2014 negotiated the Joshua-Fury deal, and that White himself knows the venue while Hearn does not. BoxingScene&#8217;s reporting suggests talks remain exploratory rather than final.<\/p>\n<p>Both fighters have tune-ups lined up. Joshua faces Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on July 25, while Fury is expected to meet Nelson Hysa in August.
