Basketball Australia is announcing that Robbie McKinlay will\u00a0depart\u00a0as Head Coach of the Centre of Excellence men after a combined eight years across\u00a0CoE\u00a0and NBA Global programs.\u00a0\u00a0

McKinlay arrived in Canberra in 2017 as an assistant coach with the NBA Global Academy and\u00a0established\u00a0himself as one of Australia’s leading developers of elite young talent.\u00a0
\u00a0
He was appointed Head Coach of the\u00a0CoE\u00a0Men’s Program in 2021 and led the development of more than 80 athletes during his tenure.\u00a0
\u00a0
McKinlay played a key role in developing some of Australia’s brightest basketball talent, including Alex Condon, Johnny Furphy, Alex\u00a0Toohey\u00a0and Jacob Furphy.\u00a0
\u00a0
New opportunities await McKinlay, who reflected on the next step in his already distinguished coaching career.\u00a0
