Both clubs stepped out onto the field in special jerseys with Arrow\u2019s name on \u2014 the Rabbitohs\u2019 donning an all-white strip.<\/p>\n
The announcer inside the Accor Stadium then welcomed Arrow onto the pitch alongside his partner Berina and daughter Ayla.<\/p>\n
Arrow was immediately overcome with emotion and fell into Berina\u2019s arms after looking up to see the applause from the fans.<\/p>\n
There were banners around the ground including those which read \u201cThank You Jai Arrow\u201d and \u201cJai Keep On Fighting\u201d.<\/p>\n
He eventually composed himself and rang the bell, before both sets of players swarmed him with hugs and handshakes.<\/p>\n
He also received the special jerseys from Rabbitohs and Broncos captains Adam Reynolds and Cody Walker \u2014 who are also his friends.<\/p>\n
Commentator Peter Psaltis could be heard saying on the broadcast: \u201cHardly a dry eye in the house.\u201d<\/p>\n
Arrow was also honorarily named on the Rabbitohs\u2019 bench in another touching gesture.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the game, Arrow told Channel 9<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s very surreal.<\/p>\n \u201cI never anticipated any of this and truly, from the bottom of my heart, this means the world to me. I didn\u2019t think that many people liked me.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just very grateful for my family and everyone that\u2019s been a part of it.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is what it is.
