The Atlanta Falcons boosted their offensive line depth in a reported trade with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.<\/p>\n
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler<\/a>, Kansas City agreed to send offensive tackle Wanya Morris to Atlanta. NFL insider Jordan Schultz<\/a> added that a draft pick swap is the compensation with the Chiefs receiving a 2027 sixth-round pick and the Falcons receiving a 2027 seventh-round pick as part of the deal.<\/p>\n Schultz noted that Morris and the Chiefs “worked together to find him a new team.”<\/p>\n A third-round pick out of Oklahoma in the 2023 NFL draft, Morris spent his first three seasons in Kansas City.<\/p>\n Morris was primarily a backup with the Chiefs, but he did start 16 of the 43 regular-season games he appeared in.<\/p>\n A Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs in 2023, Morris made 11 starts for KC in 2024, replacing Kingsley Suamataia before getting beaten out by D.J. Humphries later in the campaign.
