Farmer Wants A Wife<\/a> star Jarrad has revealed what happens on the farm when the cameras stop rolling. <\/p>\n

On Sunday night\u2019s episode, Jarrad\u2019s top five ladies will move into his property in Taylorville, SA. <\/p>\n

So how did the 41-year-old almond farmer<\/a> prepare to live with five ladies under one roof after being single for three years?<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think you can prepare yourself for it, to be honest,\u201d Jarrad said. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut the girls are great and they\u2019re a really group of ladies \u2013 thankfully they all got along well, which made it a lot easier.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere wasn\u2019t really any tension between any of them, so the environment was good.\u201d <\/p>\n

Always the gentleman, Jarrad revealed most nights he snuck away to his parent\u2019s house down the road to sleep, giving the ladies their own space.<\/p>\n

But when he returned in the morning, he said it was \u201cpretty funny\u201d to see five women sharing one bathroom to get ready. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d come in the mornings and see someone straightening their hair, and another person brushing their teeth,\u201d Jarrad said, laughing. <\/p>\n

Revealing more details from the behind-the-scenes, the farmer said they filmed six days a week but they got one day off a week. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was actually really good, we did a few little day trips and went out for lunch,\u201d Jarrad said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe went to the Barossa Valley and Clare Valley.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven the girls did the same. It was really relaxing because the cameras weren\u2019t rolling. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was great to have that down time.\u201d <\/p>\n

Tuesday\u2019s episode saw the farmers pick one of their five chosen ladies for a 24-hour date. <\/p>\n

It gave them an early chance to deepen connections before the rest of the ladies arrived at the farm. <\/p>\n

Farmer Jarrad chose Carly \u2014 and he shared the real motivation behind choosing the 31-year-old nurse from NSW for the first date. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conversation flowed so well during the initial speed date, and we had a lot of similarities,\u201d Jarrad said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was an instant connection, and it drew me to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I just wanted to explore that more.\u201d <\/p>\n

Farmer\u00a0Jarrad\u00a0leaned into his romantic side, setting the scene with a magical candlelit bonfire date, which ended with a kiss. <\/p>\n

Jarrad knew the romantic moment would cause a stir among the other ladies. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a tough situation because you\u2019re sort of damned if you do, and damned if you don\u2019t,\u201d Jarrad said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m here to find someone, so I need to explore those connections and part of that is obviously having a kiss with the girls when it feels right.\u201d <\/p>\n

Jarrad admitted finding the right balance between dating while being considerate of all five ladies\u2019 feelings was \u201cstressful\u201d at times. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really hard because you want to be respectful,\u201d Jarrad said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to get to the final decision as fast as I could without mucking anyone around but then at the same time, you need to give the relationship enough time to develop. <\/p>\n

Farmer Jarrad\u2019s last serious relationship was three years ago and he admitted what he\u2019s looking for in a future partner has changed over time. <\/p>\n

\u201cInitially, in relationships I\u2019ve really looked for the spark,\u201d Jarrad said. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think now I\u2019m probably more looking for someone that shares the same values as me. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve learnt if you share the same values, then the spark can grow over time.\u201d <\/p>\n

On Sunday night, the farmers will face their first elimination, setting off fireworks at the farms. <\/p>\n

Jarrad said having to send one lady home so soon was \u201ctough\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe girls had only been there for, like,\u00a024 hours, so to send someone home that soon seemed a little unfair,\u201d Jarrad said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely tough because you want to get to know the girls, so you can make the best decision, and I felt at that point it was just premature sending someone\u00a0home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jarrad admitted the eliminations only get harder as the weeks go on. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSending people\u00a0home gets harder and harder because there\u2019s obviously feelings that start to grow,\u201d Jarrad said. <\/p>\n

He said friendships between the girls will also be affected. <\/p>\n

\u201cPeople will feel a bit shocked and hurt,\u201d Jarrad said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s never easy sending anyone home and it definitely gets harder as the weeks go on.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n
