And here we are.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I thank everybody inside the team, and I dedicate this podium to the people who are suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Morbidelli hasn\u2019t finished higher than seventh in a dry race this year, has only one grand prix top ten and is 14th and last of the Ducati riders in the world championship standings.<\/p>\n<p>Although team-mate Fabio di Giannantonio is set to switch to KTM next season, Morbidelli\u2019s seat is under serious threat from a rumoured Fermin Aldeguer-Nicolo Bulega <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/pertamina-enduro-vr46-racing\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">VR46<\/a> line-up.<\/p>\n<p>Morbidelli isn\u2019t the only MotoGP race winner who could be left out for 2027, with the likes of Alex Rins, Brad Binder and Jack Miller also currently thought to be without a ride for the 850cc machines.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>A new career in World Superbike could be a viable alternative for those left out, especially given SBK\u2019s switch to Michelin rubber.<\/p>\n<p>However, Morbidelli said he still has unfinished business in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/gng_1323923_hires_1600x900.jpg\"   type=\"image\/jpeg\" alt=\"Franco Morbidelli, 2026 Hungarian MotoGP. \" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.78\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Franco Morbidelli, 2026 Hungarian MotoGP.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a9\u00a0Gold and Goose<\/p>\n<p>  &#8220;I haven\u2019t finished my task here&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m a racer. I love racing. I haven\u2019t finished my task here,\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/889477\/franco-morbidelli\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Morbidelli<\/a> said of his future during the Balaton Park weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think my task changed a little bit after the first three years in MotoGP. So my aim changed a bit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow it&#8217;s getting back to win races first of all. It&#8217;s going to be important to get back to winning races before thinking about winning a championship. I&#8217;m far from that at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I would like to clear [complete] my task.
