Jake Waterman had the chance to win it for the Eagles in the final minute, but his set shot from directly in front cannoned into the post and the Roos held on for a 74-73 win at Optus Stadium.<\/p>\n

But there was a moment earlier in the match that left Eagles coach Andrew McQualter unimpressed.<\/p>\n

Davis was concussed in a heavy Paul Curtis tackle midway through the opening term. Despite play being stopped for medical staff to get to the youngster\u2019s aid, the game was restarted while Davis was still making his way off \u2013 leaving West Coast a man short.<\/p>\n

The Roos took advantage to have a man spare in the goal square, and it was Nick Larkey who goaled as a result.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to seek some clarity on this because I\u2019m led to believe if the HIA is called, the match day manager has the responsibility to send the player from the interchange on straight away,\u201d McQualter said post-match.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe a mistake was made in that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to have to seek that out and find out where that mistake was \u2013 because it cost us a goal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it was fairly clear Hamish was concussed.<\/p>\n

\u201cFortunately he\u2019s in a good position now. But potentially a mistake was made.<\/p>\n

\u201c(Hamish) is good \u2013 he\u2019s up and walking. He came back to the bench at half time so he\u2019s OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the in-game audio, the umpire can be heard saying: \u201cWhat do you think? Another 10 metres? Alright.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Fox Footy\u2019s Brad Johnson said the restart should have been delayed.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t wait another 10 metres \u2013 just wait until he\u2019s completely off the ground. The ball can shift quickly,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n

Davis was still metres off the sideline when play was restarted.<\/p>\n

And dual premiership Roo David King said it was clear West Coast was disorganised once play recommenced. <\/p>\n

\u201cGee you wonder what they were thinking with such a delay! Kangaroos spare everywhere!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wouldn\u2019t be happy with that Andrew McQualter. \u2018Mini\u2019 would be disappointed with their lack of preparation for the game to restart.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can see how disorganised they are behind the ball.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow can you have a forward free in the goal square after a minute delay?\u201d<\/p>\n

Kangaroos coach Alastair Clarkson admitted his side were \u201clucky to win in the end\u201d, while rising star Harry Sheezel said the overall mood was \u201crelief\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if we probably deserved the four points in the end,\u201d he told foxfooty.com.au.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a really good week together coming together. We had a few honest conversations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe responded in the best way possible \u2026 proud of the boys but that ending was a bit scary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll take the four points any day of the week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ve now won more games than I ever have in my career!<\/p>\n

\u201c(But) ultimately we probably didn\u2019t deserve it in the end.\u201d<\/p>\n
