Quite the opposite as the company has released a new video of a near-production prototype being tested at the Nard\u00f2 proving ground in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>In the short clip, we can see a camouflaged car being put through its paces, sometimes in relative silence. This shouldn\u2019t be too surprising considering the model has a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, a 7.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and three axial flux motors. They give the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/audi-nuvolari\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nuvolari<\/a> a combined output of 987 hp (736 kW \/ 1,001 PS), which enables it to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km\/h) in 2.6 seconds and onto a top speed in excess of 217 mph (350 km\/h).<\/p>\n<p>More: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2026\/06\/audi-unveils-new-nuvolari-supercar-as-extreme-r8-successor\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Audi Unveils New Nuvolari Supercar As Extreme R8 Successor With Lambo Power<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While there isn\u2019t much we haven\u2019t already seen, the clip does show the Nuvolari drifting around turns and looking remarkably composed. We can also see the model\u2019s active rear wing in action for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>As you may recall, it has three positions \u2013 known as closed, low downforce, and high downforce \u2013 and can be operated either automatically or manually.
