Australia is set to have warmer than usual temperatures this week \u2014 with some major cities around 5C higher than average for the time of year.<\/p>\n
Sydney will have highs in the low 20s all week while Melbourne will experience temperatures in the high teens with a top of 21C on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Brisbane and Adelaide will also be warmer than 20C, with Perth and Hobart in the mid to high teens.<\/p>\n
Darwin will have temperatures in the low 30s with a possible shower or two later in the week. <\/p>\n
The warmer temperatures are a part of a trend that is expected to continue throughout winter.<\/p>\n

The BoM said the tropical Pacific is edging closer to El Ni\u00f1o levels, with warmer sea temperatures already starting to affect the atmosphere. <\/p>\n
