Now we do an <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/topic\/mma\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MMA<\/a> match for the world @MostVpromotions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Usyk sealed the deal with a handshake in the ring and then went on to tell assembled media at his post-fight press conference: &#8220;Yes, I am ready [to fight Jake Paul] but I need to rest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time an MMA fight between Usyk and Paul has been talked up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/boxing\/3207118\/oleksandr-usyk-jake-paul-mma-debut-date\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paul&#8217;s manager Nakisa Bidarian confirmed earlier this year that both camps had touched bases about a battle in the Octagon.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsyk has called out Jake multiple times in MMA,&#8221; said Bidarian in May.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They\u2019ve been in touch with us behind the scenes, saying they want to do that fight in 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Paul is technically a PFL fighter - even though he's never fought in MMA\" height=\"960\" width=\"866\" data-credit=\"PFL\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/F_ZAwQZWoAQdAod.jpg\" data-caption=\"Paul is technically a PFL fighter - even though he's never fought in MMA\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/F_ZAwQZWoAQdAod.jpg\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2<\/p>\n<p>Paul is technically a PFL fighter &#8211; even though he&#8217;s never fought in MMACredit: PFL<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So it\u2019s something that we definitely want to pursue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On a possible switch to MMA and a fight with Usyk, Paul added at the time: &#8220;I want to test my skills in the cage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s something I\u2019m super, super interested in, and I think it would be a very, very big spectacle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNate Diaz is still ducking, but we would need to find the right opponent.
