The startup did not disclose the investment put in by the cricketer.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Fittr said Sharma spent several months evaluating Fittr\u2019s mission, business fundamentals and long-term growth strategy before deciding to transition from ambassador to investor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Sharma began endorsing the startup in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2016 by Jitendra Chouksey, Bala Krishna Reddy, Rohit Chattopadhyay, and Jyoti Dabas, Fittr offers online health and fitness communities and platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Its platform claims to have helped more than 4 Lakh users through a network of over 700 coaches, while its broader community exceeds 30 Lakh users globally.<\/p>\n<p>To date, Fittr has raised nearly $17 Mn in funding from investors like Rainmatter, Peak XV\u2019s Surge, Elysian Park Ventures, among others. Notably, it is also endorsed and backed by actor Sunil Shetty.<\/p>\n<p>The startup competes with platforms such as Healthify, Cult.fit, FitBudd and MyFitnessPal, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the financial front, Fittr reported revenue of \u20b9128 Cr and a profit before tax (PBT) of \u20b911 Cr in FY25. Its online fitness coaching business accounted for about \u20b9122 Cr of the startup\u2019s total revenue during the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>India\u2019s health and fitness sector continues to expand rapidly, with the market expected to grow from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deloitte.com\/in\/en\/about\/press-room\/indias-fitness-market-to-double-by-2030-per-a-deloitte-and-hfa-report.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u20b916,200 Cr ($1.9 Bn) to \u20b937,700 Cr ($4.5 Bn) by 2030<\/a> amid rising wellness spending.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To note, Indian celebrities have been known to double down on the country\u2019s startup ecosystem from time to time, with such investments making headlines regularly.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, earlier this month, D2C kids lifestyle brand <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/shilpa-shetty-invests-in-d2c-kids-lifestyle-brand-rosada\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rosada onboarded actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra<\/a> as a strategic investor.
