Gracie Guthrie \u2013 or GG for short \u2013 the cute-as-a-button name suits the cute-as-a-button newborn Jess Nathan and Andrew Guthrie<\/a> introduce Woman\u2019s Day<\/a> to at their Delegate, NSW, home.<\/p>\n

The couple \u2013 who met and fell in love on Farmer Wants A Wife<\/a> in 2021 and wed in 2024 \u2013 say they \u201cborrowed\u201d the name from family.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just loved the nickname GG and the way that Gracie Guthrie sounded.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey let us steal it,\u201d laughs Jess of her brother and sister-in-law. \u201cThank God, because we didn\u2019t have a back-up!\u201d<\/p>\n

Their daughter was born at Cooma Hospital on May 21 via a planned C-section, due to Gracie being breech.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really amazing seeing her for the first time and after she was born she was awake for probably two hours just alert and looking at us and not crying at all,\u201d says a smitten Jess of her newborn.<\/p>\n

And coming home has been just as smooth. \u201cMy mum came up from Melbourne and deep-cleaned our house and did heaps of cooking and just got everything ready for us,\u201d Jess shares.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought the first few days would be a little daunting but it hasn\u2019t been at all. She\u2019s so much fun and just the coolest little person. We\u2019re so in love with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

And new dad Andrew, 36, agrees.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s such a chill baby. We\u2019ve heard some horror stories from our friends, so we consider ourselves very lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n

BUMPY ROAD TO BABY<\/p>\n

Even more so, given their road to becoming parents wasn\u2019t an easy one. Jess has been open about her struggles with endometriosis and infertility. But the reality star says all the heartache was worth it now their precious bundle is here.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything we\u2019ve been through, I would do it a thousand times over in a heartbeat,\u201d says the 32-year-old, who is glad to have given hope to other sufferers by sharing her complicated journey to having their baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been awesome to be able to talk to different people about what\u2019s worked for them, what they\u2019ve struggled with and offering some support where we can.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew adds that he\u2019s found it \u201csurprising how many people are actually struggling with fertility\u201d.<\/p>\n

Now that they\u2019ve swapped that pain for parenthood, Jess says the couple are relishing in the little things.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just feels really nice to be home in our love bubble as a family,\u201d she says. \u201cAnd just learning every single day about Gracie, and her learning about us too.\u201d<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s one piece of information about her parents the pair think their daughter may rather stay in the dark about. \u201cOh my God, she\u2019s gonna hate that!\u201d Jess laughs, of sharing with Gracie in the future how their love story unfolded on Farmer. \u201cShe\u2019ll think it\u2019s really cringe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019ll think it\u2019s so lame,\u201d Andrew chimes in. \u201cBut yeah, we\u2019ll have to show her one day. We won\u2019t get away with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple say they probably won\u2019t be tuning in to the current season of the show, but they\u2019re forever grateful for the life it\u2019s given them. \u201cI never thought it would play out the way it has,\u201d says Andrew. \u201cI\u2019m very glad I decided to go on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t believe it\u2019s all worked out like this,\u201d Jess agrees. \u201cWhenever I think about it, I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh my God! Thank God I went on.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

And their future looks even brighter.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re having debates about if Gracie\u2019s going to be a horse girl or a motorbike girl,\u201d Jess says with a smile. \u201cEither way, we feel so lucky that she gets to have this amazing upbringing in the country. I just want to give her a really cool childhood.\u201d<\/p>\n

One with a sibling, or two?<\/p>\n

\u201cInitially, I wanted a lot, but being pregnant was not that enjoyable,\u201d Jess jokes. \u201cTwo, maybe three? Andrew is happy with two. We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n
