Eric Trump has denied cheating allegations after screenshots shared online appeared to show UFC commentator Daniel Cormier receiving a message from an account under Trump\u2019s name asking whether any of the White House\u2019s UFC fights on Sunday would be rigged.<\/p>\n
Several screenshots posted \u2013 and then later deleted \u2013 on Cormier\u2019s X account showed alleged messages from Donald Trump\u2019s 42-year old son that said: \u201cAnything you can tell me about the fighters tomorrow? Who you got winning?\u201d<\/p>\n
The messages went on to say, \u201cYou placing any bets\u2026 Are any of the fights tomorrow rigged? I\u2019ve been eyeing the [Diego] Lopes fight and I think an upset wouldn\u2019t be too unrealistic,\u201d followed by \u201c$$\u201d.<\/p>\n
In a since deleted post on the 47-year old retired fighter\u2019s account, a caption accompanying the screenshots said<\/a>: \u201cIm probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refuse to stay silent. The UFC is a sport that I am deeply passionate about [sic] I will not tolerate this type of insider behavior. Shame on anyone trying to ruin this behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump quickly denied the allegations, writing<\/a> on X: \u201cThis is completely fake! I have never reached out to Daniel. In fact, this is scary.\u201d<\/p>\n In another post, Trump wrote<\/a>: \u201cThis did not happen. They were AI generated. Please be careful with reporting.\u201d<\/p>\n Cormier also denied the screenshots on X, saying:<\/a> \u201cAre people really this dumb?\u201d To which Trump replied and tagged Cormier: \u201cThanks @dc_mma.\u201d<\/p>\n Upon being asked in person by a spectator whether the screenshots were real, Cormier said: <\/a>\u201cNot real. I can\u2019t believe you guys believe that\u2026 I got hacked or something\u2026 Who believes stuff like that? That\u2019s crazy\u2026 Why would I do that?\u201d<\/p>\n In a separate statement, Trump Organization spokesperson Kimberly Benza also denied the posts, saying: <\/a>\u201cThese screenshots are fake. They were fabricated and do not reflect reality. This is one of the dangers of AI-generated content: false information can spread quickly when people don\u2019t verify what they\u2019re seeing.
