New US comedy The Fall & Rise of Reggie Dinkins starring Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) will screen on 7Plus and Seven later this month.

The series centres around a disgraced football superstar and an ambitious filmmaker brought together by one extraordinary comeback story.

This debuted in the US in January and has been renewed to a second season.

Reggie Dinkins (Morgan) is a former NFL icon whose career comes crashing down after a gambling scandal results in a lifetime ban from the league. After accidentally betting on his own team, the New York Jets, Reggie finds himself at the centre of a media firestorm, stripped of his status and struggling to regain control of his future.

Award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Radcliffe) sees an opportunity in documenting Reggie’s attempted redemption. As the pair embark on a journey to repair Reggie’s public image, their partnership quickly becomes more complicated than either anticipated.

Joining Morgan and Radcliffe is an acclaimed ensemble cast including Erika Alexander (Living Single), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Precious Way (Queens) and Jalyn Hall.

The series is co-showrun, written and executive produced by Robert Carlock and Sam Means. Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Eric Gurian and David Miner also serve as executive producers.
