Currently in production, Hancock\u2019s untitled new film is based on the true story of Brent Wisner (Jonathan Bailey), a young, untried attorney who takes on a seemingly insurmountable case against Monsanto on behalf of Dewayne \u201cLee\u201d Johnson. Wisner\u2019s client alleged that he developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma as a result of his exposure to Monsanto\u2019s best-known product, the weed and grass pesticide killer Roundup, through his job as a high school groundskeeper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tJohnson won the case in a landmark verdict, determining that Roundup causes non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The jury awarded him $289 million, with his victory paving the way for thousands of subsequent Roundup lawsuits and billions in dollars in jury verdicts against Monsanto\u2019s parent company, Bayer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tLaura Dern also stars in the new film, as previously announced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tScript is by Michael Wisner, Alexandra Duparc, Ned Benson and Hancock.
