Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever won their fourth consecutive game on Tuesday, defeating the Toronto Tempo by the final score of 113-91 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.<\/p>\n
While Clark scored 21 points on just 5-of-15 shooting, she also dished out a season-high 14 assists while pulling down five rebounds. She picked up one steal and one block as well.<\/p>\n
Sophie Cunningham stepped up in the victory, finishing with 24 points in 24 minutes off the bench while shooting 6-of-7 from three-point territory.<\/p>\n
Kelsey Mitchell also excelled in the win, scoring 27 points while connecting on 81.8 percent of her field-goal attempts.<\/p>\n
For the Tempo, Marina Mabrey was a bright spot in the loss with 18 points and seven assists compared to four turnovers. Mabrey shot 7-of-16 from the field and 2-of-5 from behind the arc.<\/p>\n
Neither team was able to pull away in the first quarter of Tuesday’s contest, although a buzzer-beating triple from Cunningham gave Indiana a six-point advantage at the end of the period.<\/p>\n
The Fever extended their lead to 11 points with just over eight minutes remaining in the second quarter, but the Tempo immediately responded with a 17-6 run to tie the game. <\/p>\n
Indiana led 53-50 at the half.<\/p>\n
Toronto briefly jumped in front to start the third quarter before the Fever went on a run of their own, taking another double-digit lead with just under four minutes left in the quarter.<\/p>\n
Indiana didn’t show any signs of slowing down in the fourth, leading by as many as 24 points while it cruised to the win.<\/p>\n
