Makhachev has built his career on a grappling-dominant approach that has neutralised opponents who looked capable of beating him on the feet. Garry is a fluid, technically precise striker with the footwork and range management to make cage walks difficult. <\/p>\n<p>Whether Garry can keep the fight standing long enough to make his striking the determining factor, or whether Makhachev&#8217;s wrestling establishes control early, is the central question Philadelphia will answer.<\/p>\n<p>The co-main event places the <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnews.com\/division\/strawweight\/\" class=\"internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash\/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">strawweight<\/a> title on the line as Mackenzie Dern defends against Gillian Robertson. Dern claimed the belt vacated by <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnews.com\/fighter\/zhang-weili\/\" class=\"internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash\/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zhang Weili<\/a> with a victory over Virna Jandiroba at UFC 321 in October 2025, adding a world title to a career that had previously been defined by her submission credentials without quite reaching the championship.
