Aprilia MotoGP satellite team Trackhouse has named a new team manager as it revamps its leadership ahead of the planned departure of team principal Davide Brivio.<\/p>\n

Brivio, who has been part of the Trackhouse set-up since shortly after it entered MotoGP, will take on a Honda role next year.<\/p>\n

That had left Trackhouse needing to recruit a new senior MotoGP figure to report to team owner Justin Marks, and as expected it has settled on Francesco Guidotti as a new hire.<\/p>\n

Guidotti – who had served as Aprilia team manager in World Superbikes in the more distant past –\u00a0 began his MotoGP career with a long leadership stint at Pramac before embarking on a spell heading up the KTM factory team until the end of 2024, since when he has largely appeared as a TV pundit.<\/p>\n

Marks has described the announcement of Guidotti’s arrival as a “thrilling development for Trackhouse”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Francesco has a long and successful career in professional motorcycle racing but, just as importantly, he fits the culture and vision of our company,” said Marks.<\/p>\n

Guidotti will start work immediately, featuring as team manager while Brivio continues in his team principal role. Trackhouse has confirmed the pair will work together until Brivio’s exit.<\/p>\n

Trackhouse is virtually certain to stay with Aprilia in MotoGP next year, and the biggest topic it faces currently – presumably one Guidotti will be entrusted to help navigate – is its rider line-up for 2027<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is thought to be an agreement with Enea Bastianini for one seat, while the other is believed to be a choice between Manu Gonzalez, Luca Marini and incumbent Raul Fernandez. The other incumbent, Ai Ogura, is set to move to Yamaha.<\/p>\n

Honda has also made another step in its own reshuffle around Brivio’s arrival in a still to be defined position and Alberto Puig’s move away from being team boss and into an advisory role.<\/p>\n
