{"id":745920,"date":"2026-06-19T04:18:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T04:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/745920\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T04:18:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T04:18:09","slug":"cyclist-urska-zigart-breaks-her-jaw-in-horror-crash-at-tour-de-suisse-femmes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/745920\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyclist Urska \u017digart breaks her jaw in horror crash at Tour de Suisse Femmes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Slovenian rider Urska \u017digart broke her jaw in a heavy crash at the start of the final kilometre of stage two of the Tour de Suisse Femmes in Locarno on Friday morning AEST.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">\u017digart lost control riding at high speed over a speed bump and crashed hard on the ground, rolling and sliding a number of metres before coming to a halt on the tarmac.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Several other riders then crashed as they tried to avoid \u017digart, 29, as she lay motionless on the road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">\u017digart&#8217;s team confirmed she had been taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;After undergoing several medical assessments, Urska has been diagnosed with a fractured jaw. Fortunately, no other injuries were detected during the examinations,&#8221; they added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;The team&#8217;s medical staff are currently evaluating the next steps required to ensure Urska receives the best possible treatment and recovery process.
