Following a roller-coaster 2025-26 season filled with frustrations, injury issues and speculation, many are expecting that the Memphis Grizzlies star will finally get moved in the market.<\/p>\n
Out of being unplayable for most of the past regular season due to elbow, calf and ankle injuries, Morant was ultimately never moved by the Grizzlies. He only appeared for 20 games, and his numbers significantly declined to just 19.5 points in 41 percent shooting with 3.6 turnovers.<\/p>\n
The Grizzlies’ blockbuster trade that sent Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz is simply a sign that Morant’s future in Memphis is also about to reach the end.<\/p>\n

With Ja Morant poised to be involved in the league’s offseason watchlist, an NBA insider believes he would be moved to another Western Conference team.<\/p>\n
identified the New Orleans Pelicans as the most likely next destination for Ja Morant, favoring them over the Sacramento Kings among the teams rumored to be linked to the embattled guard.<\/p>\n
“I mean, the only two teams I’ve heard, and I\u2019ll pick one of them, are New Orleans and Sacramento. And so, you know, I\u2019ll probably push it the New Orleans way,” Amick said.<\/p>\n
The Pelicans already have Dejounte Murray and rising guard Jeremiah Fears on the roster, which only further suggests that they may not be particularly interested in pursuing Morant.<\/p>\n
No matter what happens, Morant will be a major storyline this offseason, with his long-term future in Memphis drawing increased attention as the Grizzlies are headed toward a full-scale rebuild.<\/p>\n
