{"id":746520,"date":"2026-06-19T10:57:26","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/746520\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T10:57:26","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:57:26","slug":"cricket-star-bryony-welcomed-back-to-hawford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/746520\/","title":{"rendered":"Cricket Star Bryony Welcomed Back to Hawford &#8211;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>King\u2019s Hawford was delighted to welcome former Hawford pupil and current international cricketer, Bryony G, back to the school on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Bryony, an Upper Sixth student at King\u2019s Senior School,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksw.org.uk\/old-hawfordian-named-in-england-cricket-squad\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">played for England U19s<\/a> in the tri series in Australia earlier this year. Her exceptional talent has also won her professional contracts with Warwickshire and for Worcestershire.<\/p>\n<p>She explained how her cricket journey started at Hawford when Mr Cook introduced her to the sport in Year 4, and she hasn\u2019t looked back since!<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-78899\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"Cricket Star Bryony Welcomed Back to Hawford\" width=\"600\" height=\"386\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Bryony-KH-visit-1400-x-900-px-1-1000x643.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>During her visit, Bryony presented her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecb.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">England cricket<\/a> shirt to the school, which was proudly received on behalf of Hawford by our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksw.org.uk\/kings-hawford-girls-crowned-u11-cricket-champions-for-third-year-running\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Girls\u2019 IAPS Cricket champions<\/a> following their exceptional victory last week.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils also had the opportunity to hear about Bryony\u2019s cricketing journey and ask questions about her career.
