A plane has made an emergency landing on a packed golf course in Sydney<\/a>, with the pilot and passenger miraculously escaping without major injury.<\/p>\n

The Piper Cherokee light plane crashed into the ground at Mona Vale Golf Course on the Northern Beaches about 2pm.<\/p>\n

Two men, believed to both be aged in their 50s, suffered minor injuries and were treated by paramedics at the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n

An Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) spokesman confirmed there was a pilot instructor and student on-board the plane when it made the emergency landing.<\/p>\n

Flight records show the plane left Camden about 1pm and intended to land at Wollongong.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In footage obtained by The Manly Advertiser, several people can be seen playing golf on the course as the plane flew overhead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Onlookers watched in horror as the plane crashed onto the green.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although the aircraft remained mostly intact, debris from the plane could be seen scattered across the green.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Golfers could be heard screaming as the plane crashed to the ground in a video captured by one onlooker.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The plane crashed in front of the clubhouse as bystanders rushed over to the plane to help the pilot and passenger.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The two men were loaded into a golf cart and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A NSW Ambulance spokesman told NewsWire the pilot and passenger were both in a stable condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police, paramedics and fire crews are now on site providing support.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified of the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n
