Liverpool has confirmed the deal to sign Victor Munoz from Osasuna this summer, as the winger joins the Reds as the second signing of the summer transfer window<\/p>\n

Liverpool’s ability to move quickly in the transfer market has seen the Reds land the second signing of the summer, with exciting forward Victor Munoz joining from Osasuna.<\/p>\n

The Merseyside outfit moved quickly to secure the Spanish winger, paying his $46 million release clause<\/a> to beat Premier League<\/a> rivals Newcastle United<\/a> to his signature.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old adds versatility to the frontline, having played on the left, right, and as a centre-forward during the early stages of his career so far. There is also bundles of pace in his skillset, adding an injection of energy that may have been missing from the team over the past campaign under Arne Slot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With Andoni Iraola<\/a> ‘s return to a pressing philosophy, one that has brought success to Liverpool<\/a> in recent history, Munoz<\/a> appears a perfect step for the team in the next evolution of the roster.<\/p>\n

There is some excitement surrounding the quick winger’s move to Liverpool, as the usual milestones appear, such as his debut, first goal, and more.<\/p>\n

There are also some pre-debut milestones as well, such as the shirt number he will be wearing for next season, when the club finally decides what he will have on the back.<\/p>\n

In terms of his previous options, Munoz has worn the number 21 at Osasuna, a number that is vacant and previously worn by Kostas Tsimikas<\/a> before his loan to Roma. With the defender set to return, it’s unclear whether he will reclaim that option, however.<\/p>\n

The forward has also worn the number 23, which is available after Luis Diaz<\/a> ‘s exit last summer, and the number 44, which has only been occupied by Luke Chambers, Brad Smith, and Jordon Ibe over the years.<\/p>\n

Munoz has also selected the number nine and the number 25 during his time in soccer so far, both of which are claimed by Alexander Isak<\/a> and Giorgi Mamardashvili<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is every chance that Munoz could decide to go for a different option altogether, with a few available numbers open to him this summer.<\/p>\n

Available Liverpool shirt numbers: 5, 11, 13, 16, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, 40, 41, 44, 45, 48-72, 74-94, 96-99.<\/p>\n

Other options could become available if, for example, a player such as Federico Chiesa or Cody Gakpo leave the club amid links with a summer transfer exit<\/a>.<\/p>\n
