The older man can be seen loudly exclaiming into his mobile phone: \u201cThere is a man with his two little girls using the bathroom. He is washing his hands with his daughters right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
But Mr Brodsky has defended his actions saying \u201cThe women\u2019s restroom was empty, so I took them in. I\u2019d rather do that than bring two little girls into a men\u2019s bathroom full of grown men and dirty stalls.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis guy comes barging in yelling, scares my daughters, and somehow thinks THEY should\u2019ve been in the men\u2019s room instead,\u201d he continued. \u201cAm I wrong here?\u201d<\/p>\n
In a follow-up video Mr Brodsky explained three police officers arrived about five minutes after they were called, quickly de-escalating the situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey pointed out that taking two little girls into a men\u2019s restroom could be viewed just as negatively as me being in the restroom with my girls,\u201d Mr Brodsky said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo they tried to make sense of it try to understand both perspectives but really ultimately there was nothing that they could do. They did let me know that I was OK, that I didn\u2019t do anything wrong, they were very reassuring.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers spoke to everyone involved, including Melissa, (the QuikTrip manager) and ultimately asked the man to leave the store.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Brodsky said he had received thousands of messages from mums, dad\u2019s caregivers and grandparents since uploading the video, overwhelmingly backing him for his actions.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour ability to remain calm for your girls is phenomenal,\u201d one person wrote in the comment section of the first video.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou did nothing wrong. I am a female, I have a daughter and 3 granddaughters. Continue to be the great dad you are,\u201d wrote another.<\/p>\n
People also praised the actions of Melissa who closed the door on the angry man and apologised to Mr Brodsky and helped his daughter\u2019s dry their hands.<\/p>\n
\u201cGirl dads and boy mums are often put in situations where there isn\u2019t a perfect answer, most parents aren\u2019t trying to make anyone uncomfortable,\u201d Mr Brodsky said.<\/p>\n
