Matt Renshaw<\/a> led Australia<\/a> to a T20<\/a> series victory over Bangladesh<\/a> in Chattogram, in what the Queenslander called an \u201cimportant innings\u201d.<\/p>\n

Renshaw scored an unbeaten 89 off 52 balls with his time at the crease proving pivotal as Australia won the match by seven runs, following another slow start.<\/p>\n

After losing the ODI series 2-1, the Aussies looked in trouble at 3-44 before Renshaw partnered with Tim David<\/a> (45 off 26) for a 97-run partnership.<\/p>\n

The player of the match rattled off three sixes in a row to give the Aussies a big boost on their way to 5-196.<\/p>\n

The result means Australia takes an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.<\/p>\n

Renshaw\u2019s performance was a major boost for the left-hander, having amassed only 24 runs in his past five innings in Pakistan and Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s always those doubts around whether you\u2019re good enough, especially when you\u2019re in and out of formats and in and out of teams, so it was nice to realise that I\u2019m good enough at this format,\u201d said Renshaw.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously my international career has been a bit strange around different formats, but I think just being able to be comfortable in my skin [was important].<\/p>\n

\u201cToday was a really important innings for me. It came just after a run of low scores, just remembering why I wanted to play and how I wanted to play.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way that I started was one of the best starts that I\u2019ve had in my career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was really pumped, and then to go on and make the score I did and set the team up for a good win was really good in this format.\u201d<\/p>\n
