UFC fighter Josh Hokit found himself in hot water over his comments about former First Lady Michelle Obama last week. The controversial comments came after Hokit knocked out Derrick Lewis at the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House lawn last Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Cam Newton Delivers Stern Warning to Josh Hokit<\/p>\n

During a segment of the \u201c4th and 1\u201d podcast,<\/a> former NFL MVP Cam Newton blasted Hokit for his comments directed at the former First Lady and delivered a stern warning to the UFC fighter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn our culture, we don\u2019t play about certain individuals. Certain people are untouchable,\u201d Newton said. \u201cIf you utter anything disrespectful about an Obama, it doesn\u2019t matter if it\u2019s the daughters, it doesn\u2019t matter if it\u2019s the wife\u2026 They [are] some good people, they served this country well. See, that was an innocent bystander\u2026 But Mr. Josh, you [are] going to stay away from that one. We don\u2019t play about that one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho knows whether he was in his right or wrong mind,\u201d Newton added. \u201cBut at the end of the day\u2026 be very careful and be very mindful, the people who you ain\u2019t cool with or who you don\u2019t like\u2026 The fact that even Joe Rogan was taken aback. That was tasteless. You\u2019re doing way too much\u2026 Brother, please think about what you said, because that was stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Immediately after the event at the White House, UFC CEO Dana White also strongly criticized Hokit<\/a> for his remarks aimed at the former First Lady.<\/p>\n

During a segment of \u201cStraight Shooter With Stephen A,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith slammed President Donald Trump for his reaction to Hokit\u2019s comments directed at the former First Lady.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a spectacular event. It was ruined by the one (expletive) who was fighting in the octagon who said that Michelle Obama was a man,\u201d Smith said. \u201cThat was an incredibly disparaging remark about one of the greatest first ladies, if not the greatest first lady we have seen.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was not the first time that Hokit had commented on the gender of a prominent personality in the country.
