Kai Allen scored a second career win in emphatic style, equalling the 2026 tally of reigning Bathurst 1000 winner and teammate Matt Payne.<\/p>\n

Payne was fourth in today\u2019s race and, with Triple Eight duo Will Brown and Broc Feeney fifth and seventh, Grove leads the standings by 28 points.<\/p>\n

Grove Racing owner Stephen Grove told Speedcafe that the teams\u2019 title is the top prize on his priority list that the squad is yet to win.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t want to get ahead of ourselves but for me, Bathurst is a huge thing to win and the next thing is the teams\u2019 championship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me it shows that the whole team has worked together, both drivers have worked together. It\u2019s a big item on my list.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the moment we\u2019re leading it. We just need to continue to work hard and continue to get points and see where we end up.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the second time Grove has edged ahead in the teams\u2019 championship battle this year, having done so midway through the Australian Grand Prix weekend.<\/p>\n

Grove is leading despite a pair of 30-point penalties this season.<\/p>\n
