It looked like a manhole cover,\u201d Day radioed, before bringing his car back to the pit lane.<\/p>\n<p>After several laps under the control of the Safety Car, racing was stopped to inspect the circuit and make repairs.<\/p>\n<p>Remarkably, when Day returned to the race, he came upon a truck going the wrong way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease let me know if there are any more safety trucks driving backwards on the track,\u201d said a frazzled Day.<\/p>\n<p>Commentators were left aghast by the scenes.<\/p>\n<p>    Tickets for the 2026 NTI Townsville 500 are on sale now. Wow. Good reaction by the safety truck,\u201d said Parker Kliggerman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s the fear ever going opposite of traffic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn a 3.5-mile course, he\u2019s way behind where the field is located, so he\u2019s going to try and catch up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe other thing about a street course, think how low he is with the walls and the fencing \u2013 he can\u2019t see around any of these corners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe majority of the corners are blind for us.
