Image: Richard Gresham <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/298625\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" src=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/a\/298625\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Tickford Racing driver suffered a cool suit failure on the warm-up lap of yesterday\u2019s 200-kilometre race, held in sweltering 32-degree conditions.<\/p>\n<p>He battled his way through all 70-laps, leaving him with heat exhaustion so severe he couldn\u2019t stand up after getting out of the car.<\/p>\n<p>The Castrol backed driver was treated by the Supercars medical team after the race before being released back into the care of the team.<\/p>\n<p>Randle took part in this morning\u2019s qualifying session, however has since returned to the medical centre for further checks.<\/p>\n<p>That has left his participation in today\u2019s race in doubt, with a chance he\u2019ll become the <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/sueprcars-news-2026-darwin-triple-crown-brodie-kostecki-withdraws-illness-details-comments-statement-hidden-valley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">second regular driver sidelined along with Brodie Kostecki.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tickford does have its four Super2 drivers \u2013 including Randle\u2019s enduro co-driver Reuben Goodall \u2013 on the ground in Darwin, as well as Cam Waters\u2019 enduro partner Mark Winterbottom, who is there on TV duties.<\/p>\n<p>    Tickets for the 2026 NTI Townsville 500 are on sale now. Secure your spot today.<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/ticketekau.pxf.io\/5kYxq9\" style=\"color:#de482e;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Buy tickets<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Given qualifying has already taken place, Supercars and Motorsport Australia would need to sign off on a replacement driver if required.<\/p>\n<p>Winterbottom said on the broadcast ahead of the Super2 Series race that there\u2019s \u201ca big chance\u201d Randle will not compete in the Supercars finale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s woken up not well,\u201d Winterbottom said of Randle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe saw the footage yesterday when he hopped out of the car with a cool suit failure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe tried his best in qualifying.
