Bayern looked in full control heading into the second half after building a 47-27 lead, but everything changed after the break.<\/p>\n
ALBA opened the third quarter with a 19-5 run, cutting the deficit to just six points and putting pressure back on Bayern.<\/p>\n
Although Bayern managed to hold on to their lead and even pushed the advantage back to double digits before the fourth quarter, ALBA delivered the decisive response. They started the final period with a game-changing run, quickly erasing the deficit and taking a 67-66 lead just a few minutes into the quarter.<\/p>\n
From there, ALBA held their nerve. With several clutch shots down the stretch and important free throws in the closing moments, they completed an incredible comeback and sealed a memorable title-winning upset.<\/p>\n
For the winners, Justin Bean, who was also named Finals MVP, posted 18 points (5\/7 2PT, 2\/5 3PT, 2\/4 FT) in 28 minutes. He also added 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 31 PIR.<\/p>\n

The heartbreaking loss was especially painful for Bayern Munich head coach Svetislav Pesic.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year Pesic confirmed that this season will be the last of his career, bringing an end to his illustrious coaching journey at the age of 76.<\/p>\n
On the international stage, Svetislav Pesic is a two-time FIBA EuroBasket champion, having won gold in 1993 with Germany and again in 2001 with FR Yugoslavia.<\/p>\n
He also led Yugoslavia to gold at the 2002 FIBA World Cup, Serbia to silver in 2023, and to bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics.<\/p>\n
At the club level, he won the EuroLeague in 2003 with Barcelona, is a two-time ACB champion, and a five-time German League champion, along with numerous other accomplishments.<\/p>\n
