The nominees for the 66th annual TV Week Logies have been announced, with a new award category revealed.<\/p>\n

The Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter, named for the host and commentator<\/a>, will reward an Australian journalistic talent in sports reporting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Former ABC News Breakfast presenter and current Muster Dogs host Lisa Millar will battle it out for the coveted Gold Logie, facing competition from back-to-back nominees Julia Morris and Poh Ling Yeow, as well as the 2026 Logie Awards host, Robert Irwin.<\/p>\n

The ABC has 41 nominations with Mystery Road: Origin<\/a> \u2014 which was written and directed entirely by First Nations creatives \u2014 picking up five nods, the most of any ABC program this year. Goolagong, The Piano, Dog Park<\/a>, The Family Next Door<\/a>, Austin<\/a>, and Muster Dogs<\/a>\u00a0all earned three.<\/p>\n

Goolagong <\/a>stars Lila McGuire and 10-year-old Eloise Hart both picked up Most Popular New Talent nods for playing tennis legend Evonne Goolagong Cawley.<\/p>\n

Amazon’s Prime Video was the most-nominated streamer on the back of Jacob Elordi war drama The Narrow Road to the Deep North<\/a> and the second season of comedy Deadloch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Logie Awards will take place on the evening of Sunday, August 16 at The Star in Sydney.<\/p>\n

Who is hosting the 2026 Logies?<\/p>\n

Media personality and wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin will host this year’s Logie Awards.<\/p>\n

“Throughout my life, my goal has been to spread an important message not only through our work at Australia Zoo, but also on the screen,” the 22-year-old says.<\/p>\n

“I grew up watching the Logies with my family, so this is certainly an honour.”<\/p>\n
