Metallica<\/a> guitarist Kirk Hammett took a tumble during the Dublin leg of the band\u2019s \u2018M72\u2019 world tour, falling through a stage cover mid-song just days after sparking fury among Taylor Swift fans.<\/p>\n

The incident unfolded Friday at Aviva Stadium as the band thrashed through \u2018Seek & Destroy.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Shocking footage captured the moment Hammett vanished near the stage\u2019s edge, only to be hoisted back to his feet by quick-acting fans.<\/p>\n

The veteran rocker brushed off the spill with gallows humour, dubbing it \u201cSlip & Destroy\u201d on social media.<\/p>\n

The fall follows backlash over a provocative T-shirt he wore in Budapest reading \u201cTaylor Swift Is A CIA Psyop,\u201d which ignited a firestorm among Swifties<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Despite the controversy and the stage mishap, Metallica continued their European onslaught with a second Dublin show, featuring Gojira.<\/p>\n
