Broncos<\/a> veteran Ben Hunt<\/a> will continue his career for at least one more year, re-signing with the club for the 2027 season. <\/p>\n

Hunt finally reached the NRL mountaintop last year, tasting premiership success with Brisbane a decade removed from heartache<\/a> in the famous 2015 decider.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old, who will turn 37 early next season, has inked a fresh one-year contract to remain at Red Hill despite calls from ex-teammate Corey Parker for him to hang up the boots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBroncos have always been home for me and I\u2019m incredibly grateful for everything this club has given me over the years,\u201d\u00a0Hunt said on Monday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love being part of this group, I still feel like I\u2019ve got plenty to offer and my body feels great. <\/p>\n

\u201cI really enjoy helping the younger players develop and navigate their own journeys in the NRL.\u201d<\/p>\n

Broncos recruitment manager Simon Scanlan said the utility brings value on and off the field, especially with some of the club\u2019s younger players.<\/p>\n

\u201cBen\u2019s experience and leadership are invaluable to our squad,\u201d\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe leads with a calmness and professionalism that only comes from spending so many years at the highest level, and the younger players benefit from having him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis versatility and football IQ provide great value and depth to the squad, but just as importantly, he sets high standards every day and continues to have a huge impact on our culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hunt\u2019s addition to the roster for next year will add further depth in the halves and hooker, but also creates more of a selection headache for coach Michael Maguire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jonah Pezet has signed a lucrative long-term deal to play halfback<\/a>, Tom Duffy has just recommitted and Ezra Mam<\/a> is around for a few more years in the halves.<\/p>\n
