NAB and ANZ each account for approximately 14% of total housing loans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpamag.com\/au\/news\/general\/big-four-banks-earn-200000-in-profit-per-home-loan-report\/511760\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">big four<\/a> are still setting the tone for the market,\u201d said Michael Johnson, director at Agile Market Intelligence. \u201cTheir capacity to grow in both housing and business lending, even in a flat economic cycle, reinforces their competitive moat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0376_638908564066047476.png\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Among non-major lenders, Macquarie Bank led in percentage growth, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpamag.com\/au\/companies\/ing\/308070\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ING<\/a> followed with a 1.57% increase, adding over $1 billion to its loan book.
