Mercedes being dumb amplified the whole affair because Russell got a drive-through when he could have been in the podium regardless of the time penalty. That was the big one, and that was all on Mercedes.<\/p>\n So yeah, just let Gasly keep his podium. It\u2019s the least bad option of a bunch of terrible options. Maybe have the FIA pay a fine to the teams who got a wrong penalty, and then review the pit speed measurements so it doesn\u2019t happen again.
