Penrith Panthers<\/a> fullback Dylan Edwards<\/a> has used his demotion as NSW fullback in the State of Origin<\/a> series to continue putting in strong performances for the Penrith Panthers<\/a>, taking back control of Zero Tackle’s NRL<\/a> MVP after Round 16.<\/p>\n

The Penrith star landed 12 votes in their loss to the Gold Coast Titans<\/a> on the weekend, jumping a vote clear of teammate Nathan Cleary<\/a>, while Scott Drinkwater<\/a>, who polled three votes, sits in third spot.<\/p>\n

Both Haumole Olakau’atu<\/a> and James Tedesco<\/a> scored strongly to move into fourth and fifth, while Tolutau Koula<\/a>, Herbie Farnworth<\/a> and Sua Fa’alogo<\/a> also scored in the top ten.<\/p>\n

Outside of the top ten, Naufahu Whyte<\/a>, Keano Kini<\/a>, Cameron Munster<\/a> and Mark Nawaqanitawase<\/a> were the biggest movers.<\/p>\n

It was a round where agreement between our judging panel wasn’t overly forthcoming, with only Zane Harrison<\/a>, who kicked a winning golden-point field goal for the Titans, and Connor Tracey<\/a>\u00a0earning a perfect 20.<\/p>\n

In the other five games, Dylan Brown<\/a>, Fletcher Sharpe<\/a>, Brad Schneider<\/a>, Kodi Nikorima<\/a>, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad<\/a>, Wayde Egan<\/a>, Te Maire Martin<\/a>, Will Warbrick<\/a>, Sua Fa’alogo<\/a>, Mark Nawaqanitawase<\/a> and Naufahu Whyte<\/a> were all awarded five votes by at least one judge.<\/p>\n

As a reminder of how this works, our panel, comprising Zero Tackle founder Matt Clements, journalist Leo Twemlow, and writer Dan Nichols, alongside myself as editor, will cast votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis from each game of the premiership season.<\/p>\n
