Woolworths shoppers have spoken out about their experiences with the supermarket giant’s latest promotional offer.<\/p>\n
The shop\u2019s Every Day Rewards offer lets customers amass points and then redeem them on free premium cooking instruments, including woks, pans and spatulas from Fissler.<\/p>\n
Every $20 earns one cookware point, with the cheapest item being 20 points.<\/p>\n
However, shoppers have said they have been left unable to redeem their points in store given low stock, despite the app telling them otherwise.<\/p>\n
One customer took to Reddit to share their experience, writing that they “had enough points for a 20cm fry pan”.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo after checking whether it was in stock with Mandy, their AI bot, I tried to redeem it on Sunday only to be told that there were none in stock,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI showed the young woman my phone saying that they had some but she just kind of shrugged.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnyway, I had to go to another suburb for something this morning so I checked with Mandy again and she said that the Woolies there had stock.<\/p>\n
\u201cSame deal, zilch.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another customer shared their concerns, saying they \u201cwent looking for the small frying pans\u201d but found it difficult to find in multiple stores.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy regular store didn\u2019t have them, so I checked the website for which neighbouring stores had them,\u201d they wrote in response to the post.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first two stores, which were supposed to have them, did not.<\/p>\n
“Third time was the charm, though, as the third store did.”<\/p>\n
With some shoppers said they had issues with the accuracy of the live stock locator, other customers have encountered different experiences.<\/p>\n
“Plenty of stock in the stored I\u2019ve seen. I think you\u2019ve just been unlucky,” one customer wrote.<\/p>\n
“We have three pieces from the promo. It\u2019s far from a scam, but coming in at the tail end of it when stock is running out isn\u2019t going to be a good outcome,” another added.<\/p>\n
A Woolworths spokesperson told Skynews.com.au that shoppers may experience this problem due to the “while stocks last” nature of the deal.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile we try to predict demand as accurately as possible, the love for this specific range completely exceeded our expectations,” they said.<\/p>\n
“We understand how disappointing it is to miss out on a piece you’ve had your eye on, and appreciate everyone’s understanding,.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile the Fissler range is strictly ‘while stocks last’, we want to help customers redeem their credits on the remaining items.<\/p>\n
“Before heading into a store, we highly recommend checking the live stock locator in the Woolworths app to see what is available nearby.”<\/p>\n
