St Kilda\u2019s Alix Tauru is facing a third multi-week suspension in barely a year, referred straight to the Tribunal for a heavy bump in the VFL.<\/p>\n

The former top-10 pick elected to bump Footscray\u2019s Stirling Phipps-Parsons, who lowered his body just before the hit, the resulting collision ending Bulldog\u2019s day.<\/p>\n

Tauru was charged with rough conduct with the incident graded as severe impact, high contact and careless conduct. He was referred directly to the Tribunal meaning a minimum three-week ban looms.<\/p>\n

It would be the third time in 14 months Tauru\u2019s behaviour has seen him suspended, following a four-game ban for a front-on bump last year<\/a>, and a two-game ban for striking in May.<\/p>\n

He also had a one-game ban for bumping in that May match downgraded to a fine.<\/p>\n

The defender\u2019s looming absence will compound the Saints\u2019 injury woes with Jack Sinclair and Tom De Koning to be sidelined for extended periods.<\/p>\n
